    RJJ vs Ruiz rewatch thoughts

Man what a fight, you kinda keep looking for chances for the bigger guy to land a massive punch, but Jones just didn't let him and out beat him all round, particularly on the jab for once.

I can't believe 2 of the score cards, one was 116-112, think the other maybe worse. RJJ won by more than double that on Ledermans cards, and clearly did by 8 rounds, roughly double 2/3 judges cards. What's up with that?

Favourites moments include Norman Stone in Ruiz's corner after R10 or so, frustrated shouting repeatedly the words "fight this guy, the ref sucks" then slapping Ruiz on the back on the last one, lol. Sure that's helped John no end.

RJJ smiling throughout R12, and raising his arms with 12 seconds to go. You'd think it would have really riled Ruiz to go for some crazy last second KO shots, but no, Ruiz was broken down.

Commentator; "Now Norman Stone wants to control ring security" LMAO.

Then a weird quote of "and I repeat, RJJ is one of the cleverest men you'll ever meet", where the f""k did that come from lol?

Stone to the Ref: "You're in the BAG! You're in the ****ING BAG!" Haha... Good entertainment to go with the fight.

Roy made a statement in that first round by standing up to Ruiz's power and fighting back well at the end of the first. From then on, Johnny just waited on Roy. As if he was gonna counter him... I didn't get that.

      Stone after the 10th round:

"FIGHT THIS MOTHA****ER! FIGHT HIM! **** THE REFEREE! THE REFEREE SUCKS! THE REFEREE SUCKS!!!"

And then he proceeds to shove him for the last 10 seconds of the break.

And I saw his 'clever' comment about Roy as sort of a backhanded compliment. He said, "Look at the money that he's made, compared to the risk that he's had to take in the ring." I saw that as a little sneaky diss to Roy. Which was undeserved, imo.

Im I the only one that remembers that the ref would not allow any in fighting? I really despise Ruiz's fight game, but that was his only shot at beating Roy, getting in close and tying him up.
