I was watching some fights today and noticed how much the commentators used the term 'championship rounds' and the importance of them, but so much as to the point that these rounds count for more points wise than the earlier round. Is it possible some judges scoring can get clouded and carried away by people fighting well in these rounds?

Early rounds at many times are hard to score because it's the feeling out process as the fight goes on fighters begin to get more comfortable. I don't have a problem scoring any early rounds 10/10 if I cant be shown a clear sign of dominace by either fighter.I was watching some fights today and noticed how much the commentators used the term 'championship rounds' and the importance of them, but so much as to the point that these rounds count for more points wise than the earlier round. A lot of times, and I am talking 15 rounds, there was no need for a judge.
I would much rather see 15 round fights rather than 12.
A lot of great matches ended in the 13th 14th and 15th round with decisive winners by knock out. The problem with judging a fight, is that it seems like there is no one rule, (I hate when I hear Teddy say, it all depends on what the judge likes) It should not be this way. If the judge likes defensive fighters he gives it to the defensive fighter if the judge likes a runner, he gives the round to the runner and if the judges likes an aggresive come forward guy he gives it to the him? WTF is that. The judging needs to be changed and everyone needs to be on the same page. We all hear Ledderman say his thing before every fight but how many judges follow that? IMO not many. Something is wrong with the judging system and the home town decisions are a joke.
