    LOL

Well we already know you think Mayweather is a coward. But yet you can't stop talking about him right?

The point is that based on who he fought and how he beat them Mayweather EARNED the P4P #1 spot. Yet, somehow people seem to think he ducks "real challenges."

Many of those same people BELIEVE Cotto and Margarito fight "nothing but tough fights." Cotto, the same guy who used to regularly outweigh his opponents by 10-15 lbs every time he got in the ring. The same guy who used to only fight guys coming up in weight. The same guy who only started really fighting a tough schedule in 2006 only to fight Alfonso Gomez in his most recent fight. Don't get me wrong...Cotto is the #2 welterweight in the world, but don't give me that BS talking about Cotto only fights the toughest fights out there.

Then Margarito? Give me a break. That dude is the most OVERRATED welterweight ever. The day he goes up to 168 and takes on all comers is the day I buy any of his **** about Mayweather is scared of real fights because he ducked Margarito.

Mayweather is the ONLY prime 130 lb linear champion who is DEFINED by his 147 lb performances. That right there tells you how good he is. For people to say that someone fighting 2 or 3 weight classes above his weight class and fighting exclusively linear champions is somehow ducking challenges is being a hater. Plain and simple.

But YES we all want to see the Cotto fight and yes Cotto deserves it with or without a win over Margarito.

      Baldomir? yes
      Gatti? Hell No.

He wont fight a 147 or 154lb fighter at the top of their game. Thats the bottomline.

      We have a winner.

Well, the fact is Judah and Baldomir were the last two linear champs at 147. I don't know what your criteria for determining who is #1 or #2 at their weight class, but that's a pretty compelling argument. Then as far as Hatton is concerned he's the linear 140 lb champ which is the weight class Mayweather never actually won the linear title in (he won the linear 130 and 135 lb titles before winning the 147 lb title). DLH is actually ranked #1 at 154 by boxrec and #2 by *********...right now.

Gatti...I agree with you. It was purely a money fight.

I could say it until I'm blue in the face and I could get worked up the way some folks on here do but really the beef with Mayweather is that he bought himself out of his Top Rank contract and swore to never fight another fight with Top Rank promoting it again. That means no Margarito or Cotto. Since many people on these boards swear by anything Arum says, they believe that Margarito and Cotto are better than anyone else in or around the weight regardless of what the independent ratings or title lineage are.

            Respect Greatness

I absolutely respect greatness and understand Floyd's predicament. If a fight is offering you more $$$$, you got to take that fight.

But every now and again you have to remind the People that "this is why your great." A defeat of Cotto and only Cotto, (should he beat Tony), would be that reminder.

Anything else would fall on deaf ears.

Did not completely discredit, belittle and justify why Floyd "shouldn't fight any one legitimate opponent."

I stated FACTS about how EVERY OTHER TOP FIGHTER takes easy fights from time to time, including Miguel Cotto. If you had the mental acuity to think beyond your narrow vision of the boxing world you'd have picked up on that. However, you seem to be of similar processing capabilities of George Bush. If it runs counter to what you think...well, it must be wrong.

I'll say this again, Floyd has fought four consecutive linear champions. He's fought seven in his career. He's fought 14 titlists. NO ONE else has done that. Not Oscar, not Roy Jones, not Tito and especially not anyone currently being promoted by Top Rank. But YOU and people like you still insist that he's not fighting anybody. That's pure HATE.
