Fres Oquendo Vs Chris Byrd

Fres was clearly robbed in there with Byrd, So was Golota if you ask me. but I also heard some rumors regarding the scoring in that fight of which the judges took points from Fres for hitting behind the head, dont know if that is true or not but I remember hearing some **** like that.

Fres out worked Byrd for his second chance at a World Title and they robbed him. The guy (Byrd) just knew he lost by his demeanor, Fres walked up to him and gave him a handshake and Bryd just walked away. After they announced the winner, Byrd came and extended his hand and Fres shook it.
Fres asked for a rematch, Byrd didn't want no part of him.. I watched the fight there was no points taken away, that I remember, it was a straight up robbery.

Byrd's problem was his hair in the fight. He had braids and whenever he jerked back to move out of the way of a punch, it looked from behind like he got hit. That's why he hasn't worn braids ever since.

But yeah, that was a bad call by the judges. Oquendo's case for winning was significantly better than was Golata's.

I've always believed Fres won.

A case could also be made for Golota and McCline being robbed as well.

Oquendo won that fight i always thought the Byrd Golota fight was a draw though.

I thought Oquendo and Golota beat Byrd. I did think that Byrd beat McCline though and I was in the minority on this board thinking Ruiz beat Golota.

I definitely thought Golota was robbed against Ruiz. Partly because the scores weren't really close, and I thought the wrong guy won to begin with.
