Those words come from a man with few other options if: A) His legal situation puts him on ice; or, B) Main Events uses the legal situation to protect Gatti’s burgeoning franchise from the risk of a Mayweather fight.

Roger Mayweather said he considers Tszyu the true champion, but thinks Cotto actually would be his nephew’s most difficult fight at 140 pounds.

As he watched the buzz circulate, Cotto was asked this week if he considers himself Mayweather’s new chief nemesis. A broad grin crossed his face.

"We’re rivals,” Cotto said. “Mayweather is a star of the sport and we’re in the same company. Mayweather was a great champion at 130 and 135. We don’t know about 140. When the company says the time is right to make the fight, I’ll fight him. I think it's a good fight. I know Mayweather's a great fighter. But I know I can beat him."

Dont hide now Barracuda Breath. Its ok. Just bow down to me, and i'll grant u forgivness!

It seems to me like none of them really like boxing, the only reason they want to see Floyd vs Cotto/Margarito is to see Floyds critics shut up, NOT because they will be good entertaining match ups, which will be good for the sport, but just to protect their hero from criticism>fullstop<

They are only concerned with Floyd, and how much money he can make. How does a guy who only fights once per year, hold on to his pfp#1 status, buy rematching a guy that he already beat? Then plans on rematching ANOTHER guy that he already beat? Funny thing is, most Floydboyz seem to be ok with this. They rather see Floyd in a fight that he has in the bag, rather than see his skills put to the test against another prime, undefeated champion in his division.

You have to be the biggest nutlicker on this board, someone who actually posts more about Floyd than Horus. Pathetic.

U can call this "boring" all u want, but the fact that some fans worship this guy, who has made over 20 excuses to avoid fighting 2 fighters, is pretty sad.

If it were the other way around, and Cotto had made all these excuses to avoid fighting his number 1 threat to his crown, i would've blasted him beyond belief. Dont believe me? Im the one who wrote HBO regarding my disgust of them approving the Gomez fight. Im a fan of the sport, before im a fan of any one fighter.
