He seems to have chilled out a little, I recollect him saying he hoped Hops beat him so he could get a rematch, and that he thought Hops did beat him I think, amongst other stuff.

Even mentions of his hand injury are too ironic for words. Calzaghe has suffered with his hands dramatically for years, to the point he doesn't hit as hard, yet doesn't moan about it much. Kinda wish he would a little more so people realised.

I'm glad Kesslers learning from the loss in terms of mixing up his plans and tactics, find it odd it took Calzaghe beating him to make him realise he needs more than 1 dimension in the ring though. Of course you do team Kessler, especially against Joe. But even if he did have a B plan, I can't see him adapting and mixing it up as much as Calzaghe so he loses every time imo.

I hope he gets some big fights though, he deserves it. His team needs to be great at chasing fights, and I'm not so sure they are though unfortunately.

There are no excuses in boxing, even when there are excuses.

Regarding your remarks on Kessler saying that he thought Hopkins won, he's just one of the choirboys among fighters and fightpeople who saw it the same way. It was a close fight. A split decision. Having another opinion than 2 of the judges does not strike me as odd.

What I though should have happened was a Kessler-Froch WBC eliminator, because how Froch can be above Kessler in the WBC list is beyond me. That would have given Kessler the belt he needed to start making even bigger fights. But I suppose Sartison's WBA strap is better than nothing.

As for Pavlik, well, that is the absolutely crucial fight for Kessler if he chooses to remain at SMW, because there really aren't any other mega names there. Jermain Taylor maybe. Thing is, it relies on Pavlik being both willing to come up and being willing to fight him. Kessler needs to get his hands on as many SMW belts as possible in the mean time because if Pavlik is to be tempted to come up its going to be for a straight shot at one of the titles, and the next big fight after that would be unification, and Kessler needs to be the man that would be against.

His other alternative of course is to go into the LHWs. How would you see that going?

Miranda has called Kessler out and after him signing the Abraham fight he reiterated that he'll meet Kessler later.

As for Froch, well that fight wont happen any time soon unless Kessler unexpectedly loses to Sartison.

At SMW there are lots of big fights to be made: Bute, Taylor, Lacy, Miranda and later Pavlik and Abraham.

LHW is not an option for now. Kessler wants to stay at SMW.

And regarding the LHW's let me add that I don't think that division is half as intereting as the SMW's. That division is inhabited by old-age pensioners.

True about the old age pensioners.
