Why don't they do press tours for fights anymore?

Like the way they did for PBF vs ODLH?

They would get more PPV sales and ore tickets sold like for Cotto vs Margs.
Also, start holding major fights outside in big arenas or stadiums. Kind of like WWE did with wrestlemania. You know, fire works as fighters come out and music blasting. I know when fighters like SRL fought Hearns and Hagler and other big fights, they would do tours, but now, Nope! they need to bring them back.

The arenas couldn't afford to offer the big money the casinos put up. The promoters can't afford the fees to go on a tour either, but some still do. I know Mosley-Cotto/Mayweather Hatton did too.

Yeah but its only like 3 cities.
Hit up all the big markets.

NYC, LA, Houston, Las Vegas and the fighters home towns. Let them have a chance to meet greet their fans. But fighters never EVER have meet greets.

I think internet chats are a way more cost effective way of meeting the boxing public. Big names get them but why send someone who no one knows about around the country meeting maybe 100s of people. If you get even 1000 new buys at $50 you gained an extra 50k but how much did you spend traveling all about the country. This is just a simple example though and you do get gains out of it, I just think its big cost small gain unless your well known and people want to come see you.
