You are completely wrong on both fronts. If you ask me he proved that he has more than a decent chin last night and i dont think anyone would argue against his punching power, that statement is flat out wrong, no debate...

i thought darling could definitely take a punch. he never went down the whole 10 rounds.
u only have to look at his face and see how many shots he took.
very durable fighter who can take a beating.

The Thing with Gamboa is He needs to put his hands up!
If he fought the way he did against darling against Pacquiao he would of got knocked out fast. Keep your hands up gamboa and stop being so Arrogant and ****y.

His chin looks solid, nothing special but he can take a punch.

He has good power but he seemed to lose some snap to his punches as the fight wore on, he can work on that.

I also agree with Scott, his stamina and workrate surprised me a bit in the latter stages.

his MAJOR flaw is that he fights without keeping his hands up...

chin is decent; power is there its just jimenez can take a punch...just look at the brusing/swelling on jimenez's face...that should tell you how accurate gamboa was and give you a hint as to the stength of his punches as well...

                but every fighter has flaws...

regardless, im very impressed with gamboa.

Hasn't Gamboa been down twice already in his 10 fights? If so, I would say he has a suspect chin, but you can't really tell until he has been in with some top fighters.

He has incredible speed, while his movement and footwork are pretty top notch too. He should go far, but if I was him, I would stay at super featherweight. I really do think the guys at lightweight would be too big for him.

The first time against De Jesus was more of him getting pushed down.

The second time against Jimenez was more off balance than anything.

I have not seen these fights so I shouldn't really comment, but the fights I have seen he has been impressive. Good luck to the man.
