It was a very good card. I've been impressed by Kirkland since the Duran fight. He is a bull in there. Angulo reminds me a lot of a more technically sound Margarito. He impressed me the most. I thought after 12 fights, stepping up against a solid guy in Gutierrez would be too much.

Gamboa is just so careless it kind of bothers me. He just wont be able to do that against better fighters period. I dont even remember Hamed being that careless in the ring. Other than that, yeah his speed and reflexes are outstanding and he has everything it takes to be a superstar.

Gamboas reflexes and ability to slip punches still aren't as nice as Hameds were.

Hamed always seemed to be a second ahead of your move.

Gamboa is just reacting to punches last second.

I saw him slip some punches that were so close a curly ass hair probably wouldn't have fit between Jiminezs glove and Gamboas face.

The whole putting the hands down thing. WTF.

        Insanely frustrating.

He could've put dude away in the sixth had he thrown consistent combinations and not gave Jiminez a 10 second break between each flurry he threw.

            I get that...

But he doesn't get it off as effectively...

Had Jiminez been a higher caliber fighter...

Gamboa wouldn't have had so many opportunities to put his hands down and pose so often...

putting his hands down is a dumb thing to do.just the habit of the fighter.

Gamboa will learn from this fight, he'll learn that not all the fighters that go in there with him from now on are gonna be easy to beat, I think he'll be better prepared with his fundamentals (hands up, chin down) next time, cuz this isn't the amteurs when you wear a head gear he gotta learn that he's in the pros now.

I think Hamed had more 1 punch power, while i think Gamboa has better speed. It will be fun to watch all 3 of these guys though. 154 needed some fresh blood for sure that division has been ****ty for a while.
