He has a solid chin, he got tagged a few times in the fight, he needs to keep his hands up and his chin down.

hopefully, gamboa learns from that mistake. its good he had that KD early on, he needs to polish things up and keep his hands up some more.

i think he's going to be great, has the heart, athleticism, speed, and intelligence to do big things in my opinion.

I think it was more the punch than him being off balanace. But it was a flash knockdown regardless. Gamboa was good in his 10th fight against a seasoned fighter. He doesn't carry a punch like a Marques, a Soto, a Pacman and a Valero though. He's more like Guzman but faster and more active at this weight. And there is no better footwork that his aside from Floyd Mayweather and it's still close.

He has ubelievable talent (speed, athleticism), but i feel that he just won't pan out the way things have been talked about from him...

Hope i'm wrong, kid has been through a lot. I was glad that Max mentioned lineras at the end of the fight, he to me is the real deal...

              guess we'll see...

On a side note: Can it be bad if you have too many amatuer fights?
agreed. i think he MAY turn out to be great, but i'm not totally sold yet. he has the potential. time will tell. linares i'm sold on, right now.
