The way that fight ended was just embarrassing. It has kind of replaced Zab Judah's chicken dance as boxing comedy.

I'm thinking that a big part of why Ricky wants a rematch is to avenge that moment. Hatton said that he cried a lot after watching the fight on tape. He NEVER expected to be KO'd by Floyd.

Have you ever thought that the headlong crash into the post had something to do with the KO. If it had not happened, itwould have been no more that a KD caused by his running forward into a punch coming his way. He'd possibly have got up and carried on with little trouble.

I don't know about "little trouble". The mountain goat move certainly didn't help. But Hatton was on his way to being KO'd/TKO'd anyway, and ramming the post was like a second punch. A second punch he didn't see.

After round 8, Cortez had told Graham that he wouldn't let Ricky take much more punishment. He had eaten alot of right hands. A few of them had Hatton's head snapping back like a Pez dispenser. Do you feel Cortez would have allowed three more rounds of that (10, 11 & 12)? Graham threw in the towel, even if Cortez would have allowed it to continue.

If the rematch happens, it will be interesting to see how much more aggressively Floyd comes out and/or how much more cautious Hatton is.
