Who will have a better career?

Joan Guzman or Yuri Gamboa? Two similarly skilled, built, tempered fighters. Which one of these guys do you think will have a better career overall when all is said and done? Consider:
    • Quality of opposition
    • Quality of wins
    • Length of career
    • Number of achievements
    • Consistency

Even though they are at completely different spots in their careers, I think this is a valid discussion...so discuss.

I think Gamboa, he's 26 and has a very good future ahead of him.

Guzman is 32 which probably means he won't have too many years left to be at the top considering how much he relies on speed and reflexes.

Definitely Gamboa. We haven't even seen the best of him yet. He's younger will improve in each fight and only time will tell how great he'll become in the future. Sky's the limit for this Cuban.

Gamboa without a doubt! Not coz i rate him more or anything but coz the way Guzmans career is going i mean his best oppenent is Soto - he SHOULD be #1 in his weight and a p4p top 5 fighter by now he has it all but time is ticking a bit

Guzman already has 3 solid wins and 2 quality wins in my opinion. He needs to be more active however.

I think Gamboa, he's 26 and has a very good future ahead of him.

Guzman is a "young" 32, but you're probably right. I think he'll keep his speed/reflex intact for awhile though because he gets in great shape.

I voted Guzman but after thinking about it Gamboa will. Reason being is Gamboa is going to have big fights lined up in the near future. Guzman never had that luxury and is still struggling to sign a big fight and has been "ducked" (or avoided may be a better term) most of his career.

Tough question because Gamboa has so much upside, but is far behind Guzman. On the other hand Guzman seems to be making the least of his skills by fighting so infrequently.

How do you guys think Gamboa would fare against a guy like Soto in a year or so? Soto is a tough bastard and Guzman just outclassed him with hand speed and defense. I could see Gamboa doing the same, but his hubris might get him cold****ed against a good fighter like Soto.
