Gamboa: Lay off the arrogance or become the next Zab

Gamboa has all the skills in the world. His athletic abilities are Roy-Jones-Jr.-like, and as far as compliments go regarding natural athletes, that''s very high. But his arrogance makes him very susceptible, or ownable , to orthodoxy. Sure, Jiménez couldn't pull it off because he was a much weaker man than Gamboa, but a stronger fighter could have pulled it off.

I wouldn't like Gamboa to become the next Zab Judah. All the talent in the world, but empty promises, all because of the improper mindset.

Yeah, any top level fighter with power is GOING to knock him out. I have no idea what Lewis was talking about him only having his hands down when he was out of range!?!?! He had his hands down most of the night getting caught clean, hes lucky Jiminez is not a fighter with a lot of power.

And I think we see now that hes not a knockout artist, his record speaks more of his opponents. I'm not saying he has no skill, but hes not the sledgehammer people made him out to be.

Gamboa has heart and is mentally strong and that's something that Zab lacks

Almost exactly what I said in my thread. He fights like Jones, but he isn't as gifted, and shouldn't think he is.

Gamboa is a ****y frickin bastard. Biggest ego I've seen on a fighter in years. He was talking about Guzman and Pacquiao like they were nobody and nothing. No need to mention how he fights..

Dang, one fight and Gamboa goes from the next RJJ to the next Zab Judah. You guys are a tough croud. But as someone already mentioned, Judah hasn't had a terrible career so far, I mean he was a two weight world champ.

He looks like he's mentally stronger than Judah, he just needs to make some adjustments, it's still very early in his career.
