na he has a chin people are just not giving Darling any kinda Punching power respect ... he needs to learn to pick up his hands if he learns that this dude would be untouchable

Here come the critics. First of all, the guy only has 10 fights and is sill learning. Every great fighter has made adjustments early in their careers. Second, i honestly didn't see him hurt so maybe i missed something. When he was knocked down, it seemed like he was more off balance than anything. He didn't wobble or stagger so thats a moot point. Point to me where he was out on his feet and I'll be convinced. I admit that Gamboa needs to pick up his hands, but you critcize a guy that doesn't have 11 fights yet. Give him a break.

          Agreed.

If someone could wipe some arrogance out of him before another boxer does, he could very well be the "next great fighter".

It's like Cintrón. He thought he could bully everyone around with one big punch until he met Margarito. If Gamboa doesn't make the necessary adjustements he will get dropped badly by a strong, orthodox fighter.

If he was doing crazy **** like he was tonight against a big puncher he deserves the fate he gets. His chin is decent though he ate a lot of flush shots and Jiminez hits decent. I do not think he will be able to change unless like Lennox said he gets kayoed and realizes maybe he should keep his hands up.

This Gamboa kid is another Jean Pascal.

Keeps his hands down a lot. That's fine until he fights someone GOOD.

You can't re-teach guys like this. Either they half-ass their defense or they don't, there's no inbetween.

Guys like this think they're the next Roy Jones. Problem is they're not.

But once they realize...it's too late.
