Cortez has been past it for awhile.
He bent over backwards for Hopkins in the 3rd Allen fight when Hopkins threatened to pull out because he was worried that Cortez would remember the PR flag incident. He was way too harsh on Allen.
He stood there and let Quartey almost kill Carlos Bojorquez, then decides to stop it with a minute left.
He let the Williams-Pakau fight go on WWAAYYY too long.
Then there was the Mayweather-Hatton fight.
He's had other mediocre performances in recent years too.
By now, I expect him to do a poor or so-so job.
