Margarito went into the fight with a knee and ankle injury. He had to have surgery on his ankle after the fight. It turned out Clottey just had a bruised knuckle. Margarito didnt complain.

cintron was just another untested challenger like kyvelos or clottey
clottey is a better win than cintron cuz clottey proved to be a worthy challenger that had to be worked hard to defeat unlike cintron who pretty much had a breakdown when he got hit hard for the first time in his career
