He Will take on Cotto or Margarito then retire....
sounds like a plan, but you forgot a mosley bout, since he knows he is old and can beat him

I think he will fight Oscar,Hatton then as his last fight he will take on Margarito or Cotto then retire, the reason why i say he fights Cotto or Margarito is for a lot of $$$$ before he leaves the sport

      it's just my opinion

I doubt he's going anywhere just yet...he always says he's "retiring" but comes right back.

I believe its just a ploy to make fans watch as it COULD be his last fight...

I see floyd fighting on a little while longer...

i mean COME ON...he's in his prime...do you know how incredibly hard it would be to be p4p champion AND in your prime...and walk away...

The oscar fight is most definately on...if floyd changed his mind on this fight they have to take his tempature (make sure he doesnt have a fever) and if he didnt and STILL didnt want to fight him; his family would have to rob floyd for his money to make him hungry again (hungry for money that is).

For me all i'd like to see from floyd before retirement is a fight with oscar; winner of marg/cotto; and a fight with someone like pacquiao.

but i really hope hatton/mayweather II doesnt happen it would be a joke.

Nobody knows what Floyd's doing until it happens. He's too unpredictable.

Floyd will begin saying that he is retired again after July 26th.
Who ever wins on July 26th., PBF will wait for that person to make other plans and then once that person has a fight lined up, Floyd will come back and fight some bum, an old man, or some midget. This will be Floyd's M.O and will never ever face Tony or Cotto.

About the only thing less believable than a boxer in his prime threatening to retire is a pot head swearing that he'll never smoke again. Out of the thousands of boxers in history, you can probably count on one hand the number of top fighters who retired in their prime and stayed that way. After Tunney and Marciano it gets pretty sparse.

I have no problem with it as long as he doesnt rank himself in the top 10 all time because of it.

I saw Floyd 3 weeks ago in Vegas. Excellent person. We talked for 3 or 4 minutes, and he said he could retire today and be comfie for the rest of his life. He DID say that he would not fight beyond 09>
