LMFAO @ These HBO Poll Results...

If you were a matchmaker, what would be the most exciting fight you could make:

    Floyd Mayweather-Miguel Cotto 65%
    Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton 27%
    Wladimir Klitschko-Samuel Peter 2%
    Kelly Pavlik-Arthur Abraham 2%
    Juan Manuel Marquez-Edwin Valero 3%

    ------------------

They are subliminally calling out Floyd for Cotto

Too bad he retired - again - for the 35th time...

The word of Cotto-Mayweather is rapidly spreading through the sports world. But HBO is getting feedback on a number of potential fights there.

I remember they did a poll amost the exact same with all different fights except PBF-Cotto, at the beginning of the year PBF-Cotto won that one also with like 60%. I know BHOP-Calzaghe and i think JMM-Pacman my memory could be wrong on that though.

I always vote for that fight when HBO does a poll like this because they are the ones with the money to make it happean.

Well to be honest out of that list could there be a better fight to be made?

Its obviously apparent that Floyd Mayweather Jr and Miguel Cotto are talked about so much; especially when it comes to fighting each other and for good reason...Floyd Mayweather Jr is the p4p champion of the world and many view cotto as the biggest legitimate threat to floyd mayweather. so how could there be a fight more exciting?

Whoever is the p4p champion of the world; the fans want to see that p4p champ fight.

thats why im not surprised pacquiao/hatton are second on that list (since pacquiao is the second p4p fighter in the world).

It's more common sense than anything else really and i think HBO knew that and made a poll geared towards getting them the answer they wanted.

It's like if (in a SERIOUS thread; all joking aside) i said, "who would win, floyd mayweather jr v. charlie zelenoff?"...

i would get the answer i wanted; floyd...

they picked some matchups that dont compare to the rest.

had they picked better fights for the poll and it would be closer.

HBO is calling Floyd out in more ways than one...
