I've read a rumour that Jermain Taylor is looking for Ricardo Mayorga in his quest for a high-profile opponent. Taylor has told doghouseb****** that he has talked to Don King about it. I'd rather fight Felix Trinidad, but he doesn't want me.

Mayorga's latest fight was at 164 lbs vs. Fernando Vargas.

Plus, isn't Taylor super middle weight now? 168 seems a bit high for Mayorga, yes he fought at 164 only because fat boy Vargas couldn't make weight and mayorga had no other choice or the fight would have been canceled.

i know i thought so too, and after the vargas fight mayorga stated that he wants to go down to welterweight to seek big fights with the likes of mayweather. i guess taylor is really looking to put himself on the map at 168 pounds. it's clearly not maya's natural weight. it's one thing to look good against a shot vargas, it's totally different fighting another supermiddleweight.

but on the other hand it could be a fun fight. but i think ricky is more explosive in lower weight classes.
