If he wants to retire he should just retire and not bring it up all the time although it is a pretty good marketing ploy because it puts a limit on the remaining time he has so people MIGHT want to see him more win or lose.

I have been following him since 98 when he blugdeoned Genaro Hernandez then he made me a fan for life by beating Manfredy right after that fight, that was a fight i was pumped to see. He has done pretty good for himself better then 99.98% of current boxers. How that rates all time is hard to say different eras are different and it is impossible to compare because the game is so different now.

If he retired right now he would always be more of a what could have been like Pyror because if he retired right now its hard to know what the absolute limit to his ability is.

i agree and i love the last statement there almost made me fall off my seat at work lol. he is looking to get past an old DLH like last time so he can say that he beat a great fight twice and is going to say to either merchant or kellerman (whoever is calling the fight with lampley and steward) i beat the great DLH and now i have nothing more to prove in my career. than he is going to go into the post fight press confrence and state how he is the best fighter to go down in history and that he is retiring bc he has nothing more to prove.
