At this point, would anybody else constitute "a credible opponent?" It's not like he cleared out the division and nobody was left, he has two prime welterweight contenders that he could fight and he doesn't.

i agree and i love the last statement there almost made me fall off my seat at work lol. he is looking to get past an old DLH like last time so he can say that he beat a great fight twice and is going to say to either merchant or kellerman (whoever is calling the fight with lampley and steward) i beat the great DLH and now i have nothing more to prove in my career. than he is going to go into the post fight press confrence and state how he is the best fighter to go down in history and that he is retiring bc he has nothing more to prove.

i think he needs the winner of cotto tony. but he doesnt. i also agree that the media will be around the winner of that fight so much than no one will hear floyd's name unless it has cotto or tony in front of it. than yes he will come back and fight some bumb. or just wait it out and fight them when they are deminishing.
