The best example of blatant bandwagon jumping around here recently is paul williams

Prior to the Mattyse fight nobody knew who he was... i remember starting a thread about who people thought would win and said i thought williams was a great prospect... got almost no response... maybe 5 or 6 people had seen him fight

Bam!! Two fights later everyone on here had been down with the punisher since day one and mayweather was afraid of him........... sheesh

      Agreed ^

Plus before the Quintana fight everyone was saying how he's gonna ko floyd, beat Cotto and so on and after Quintana the bandwagon lost it's wheels!

I still am a fan of Williams even if he lost to Carlos

When you're a long term fan, bandwagons can be annoying, but without them boxing would not be very popular, so all in all I don't mind them.

We have to remember that what seems like a bandwagon to us is really just the natural result of a fighter becoming more succesful. If everyone who used to ignore or dislike Calzaghe still didn't give him his props it would be a travesty.

I like band wagon fans they usually put dumb money on fights and make the line reasonable to bet on an underdog. Or like Hatton-Mayweather they keep the favorite from getting out of hand odds.

hell yes, finally another poster who looks at boxing from a ******** perspective.

i made good money on the mayweather vs. hatton and DLH fights because fanatical fans drove the lines down

more dumb money on bandwagon fighters..... people who bet peter over klitschko.... people who bet williams up to -900 against quintana... people who bet enzo to beat david haye....

and the dumb dumb money that made me rich.... the people that made miranda a healthy favorite over kelly pavlik
