I'm gonna compare this to the Cotto-Malignaggi fight... Paulie can't outbox Cotto and got smashed the whole fight with a broken Jaw. Cotto is good at fighting slickster without using speed but just accuracy and quick first step..
Maybe Paulie will outbox Hatton for 12 whole rounds..
Malignaggi UD 12

Malignaggi is a skilled fighter. I ordered a bunch of his fights recently and have been reviewing them closely. Pound-for-pound his speed is superb. And we all seen how well he acquitted himself against Cotto, only lost by a couple points if you take away the KD's. And landed a ton of punches; if he'd had even a morsel of power he would've been able to damage Cotto seriously. I dont know if he has enough to hold Hatton off, just like in the Cotto fight where he's fighting off the back foot and you know Paulie doesn't have a great defence, in fact his defence isn't very good at all. So Hatton would get to him, and bury his head on his chest and it'd be a very tough fight.
Lets see how Hatton bounces back, but I think Hatton would edge him. To be honest it could go either way.

Hatton is on another level to Paulie, sorry guys.
Paulie blitzed Cotto with combinations, made him look downright robotic at times and the only reason he lost was because Cotto wore him out; he was MUCH heavier than Paulie when they came into the ring (HBO said something like 15lbs heavier if I recall correctly), and the knockdowns made it conclusive on the cards.
Hatton just got beat by a slick fighter - admittedly Mr. Mayweather is a few notches above Malignaggi - but Paulie has the speed and sharpness to cut Ricky up and win the fight; its very winnable for him. He just needs to tighten up his defence and try and get on his bike for 12 rounds. Like I stated before, I'd pick Hatton, but to say Paulie has no chance is preposterous.
