When Abraham KO's Miranda.....

I understand that he fought with a broken jaw he was forced to, he was looking for a DQ, look if you watch the fight from round 1 you can see AA was not at all interested in the fight, he was looking for help from the ref in the 1st round when Miranda was hitting him with Clean body shots, that is what started the warnings that later lead to points being deducted, had it not been for the early crying the headbut may have just been a warning and Miranda may have only lost 2 points at best.
He did fight with a broken jaw so what, he was in reverse the whole night Miranda was the agressor and AA did NOT throw in double digits from round 6 or 7 on. his Jaw might get broken again in this fight you never know one thing is for sure after the beating he did take in the first fight, he will be even more cautious than he was the first time around, meaning AA is not going to impress the american fight fans.
plus knowing how dangerous Miranda is and being his first fight on US soil I see AA getting eaten up by the moment.Comment

To me this is a 50-50 fight.I understand that he fought with a broken jaw he was forced to, he was looking for a DQ, look if you watch the fight from round 1 you can see AA was not at all interested in the fight, he was looking for help from the ref in the 1st round when Miranda was hitting him with Clean body shots, that is what started the warnings that later lead to points being deducted, had it not been for the early crying the headbut may have just been a warning and Miranda may have only lost 2 points at best.

I agree that Miranda won the first fight. AA quit in my mind.
AA always fights only in spurts. But he never loses his power, and Miranda is going to respect that. Abraham is a completely different fighter when his jaw is not broken.
One of the big questions in this fight is the weight. It's 6 lbs over AA's normal. How will it affect AA's boxing. We probably know that the heavier weight suits Miranda well.Comment

it is a 50/50 fight but I think its more like 60/40 in favor of Miranda simply becuase in the back of AAs mind he remembers what he went through and comming to America with that in his mind I dont think it helps just fighting here for the first time alone is enough to eat a fighter up, then he is fighting a guy who had him bleeding for half a fight out of his mouth and this wasnt a small amount of blood he lost alot of blood, perhaps that is why he didnt or couldnt throw in double digits the last half or he was simply trying to protect that jaw.To me this is a 50-50 fight.

either way Miranda has shown improvement I think for Miranda to win he just has to make it a rough fight again but he also has to pay attention last time AA was able to steal rounds just by throwing shots out of no where and the crowd IMO made those shots seem better than what they were, he wont get that response here.
it is a pick em fight I am going with Miranda in this oneComment

i honestly dont see why people think so highly of arthur abraham.... knocking out ayala and beyer and demers is no more noteworthy than knocking out david banks.
heres what i know about abraham:
1. He is an ugly man.... probably has to resort to ****
2. He likes to wear ****** hats
3. He's never really beaten anyone worth a damn
Not only do i think Miranda will win, but i believe he will do it convincingly... and i have been one of the biggest Miranda skeptics ever since the Eastman fightComment

You are making some great posts. He lost several pints of blood. I'm sure Pantera2000 can tell you the exact amount to the last drop.
Fighting on another guys home-turf is hard and the acclimatization is important. It will be interesting see how AA copes with since it's his first time in the US. He will come in super-prepared, as he is using altitude-training in the alps as we post.
To me Abraham is hands down the better skilled fighter with a great blocking-defense designed to tire his opponent. Miranda has to put on as much rough stuff as he can get away with and turn the fight into a brawl. He must bully AA into the ropes and work his body over.
I just cannot wait to see this fight.Comment

I dont think bully fighting is the way to do it for Miranda he tried that in the first fight and usally he found himself smoothering his own ****ing punches he needs room to extend those shots so I think controlling the center of the ring will be key here.
I also think that AA if he wants to win he has to train to win, but let me explain why I am saying all of this I recently posted a long ass thread about the fight and what I saw, honestly the Telecast was biased, they only showed replays of AAs work they showed nothing of Mirandas making it seem like AA was dominating the fight, the crowed ewwwed and aahhed at every little thing AA threw that in my opinion played a factor in the scoring of the fight, in america I dont think the judges will be swayed like that, but I could be wrong this is America **** happens look at Lewis Holyfield 1 for god sakes and the fans didnt even do anything to sway the judges so its possible but for the sake of the fight and the sport I hope that dont happen.
I think for AA to win, he has to come forward, he has to fight Miranda almost the same way that Pavlik did, he needs to push him back on his heels he did that in spots in their last fight and had great success so this should be his game plan here.
if he fights the same fight he will lose, but really if AA wins its becuase he doesnt mentally break down before or during the fight, he must keep it together here and forget about the broken jaw forget about the fouls forget the whole first fight and take this as a new fight.
if he can do that he can win, but it depends on where he stands, This is why I am red, I dont ride anyfighters nuts, I speak my mind and the children here that dont like it give me Bad K for it.
you know why? Cus the truth ****ing hurtsComment

It was in Germany so the crowd noise and the focus of the production-team was to be expected. Oh and a german has had a bad decision in the US. Remember Sturm-DLH?I dont think bully fighting is the way to do it for Miranda he tried that in the first fight and usally he found himself smoothering his own ****ing punches he needs room to extend those shots so I think controlling the center of the ring will be key here.

If you keep stating your opinions the way you do now and with such quality you should be back in the green in no time.
AA is a master in stealing rounds. He usually fights in flashy (and hurtful looking) spurts. BTW: Forget about Miranda knocking AA out. He couldn't do it when Abrahams jaw cracked so I just cannot see that outcome. It's gotta be Miranda by decision or AA by KTFO.Last edited by BattlingNelson; 05-15-2008, 04:29 PM.Comment
