Basically what Margarito needs to do in order to win this great matchup is to throw, and land, more punches then Cotto. He needs to throw punches that connect to the body and head of Cotto, which will score points, basically.

For Cotto, basically he needs to be able to make Margarito miss and then land punches on Margarito's head, and body, in order to score points for the victory.

This is a great match up, which basically could go either way. Whoever lands the most punches in this epic bout wins the match, basically.

Cotto: Absolutely **** to the body. Set up shots to the body with the jab -uppercut-left to the body combo, then back out. Come forward but take steps back also. Go for the kill early.

Margarito: Dont rush things, but make sure to press more than Cotto. Fight the big man's fight, avoid fighting on the inside. Throw a lot of jabs and straight rights from the outside.

If it's a boxing match i would heavily favor Cotto with Marg basically needing to knock him out to win maybe 80/20. If it turns into a brawl i say its 55/45 Marg advantage.

Cotto should keep the fight on the inside,smother Margarito, go to the body early,rip upstairs with uppercuts and short hooks.He should keep switching his patterns to make it Harder for Margarito adjust.If that does`nt work Get on your bike and stick and move.


Margarito should start early,keep his distance,throw punches in bunches from many different angles behind a jab.Throw uppercuts if/when Cotto`s on the inside.Don`t let Cotto stay on the inside cause Margarito is not going to have a lot of punching room.

If that does`nt work he should just box and move ,When Cotto get in close tie him up or smother him.
