My pick was Tony by KO.

When the fight was originally announced I made a post about the fight going either way, but sort of leaning towards Cotto winning a decision and using his "better" boxing skills to beat Tony to the punch after witnessing his slick display of skills against Gomez. Then I realized it was just Gomez after all, and although Cotto has shown improvement as of late I don't think he's ever fought a guy as big as Margarito that can pressure him back.

I have a feeling this fight is going to be similar to the Ricardo Torres fight except Tony hitting Cotto harder and actually scoring a KO win in the mid to late rounds. I don't think Cotto can outbox Tony for 12 rounds, he won't have room to box him and will eventually get frustrated enough to go brawl with him and that's when the fight will turn to Margarito's favor. Of course anything is possible in this sport and if Cotto digs Margarito's body with all his power he might damage him and slow him down in order to box him to a decision, but I really can't see Cotto KAYO'ing Tony.

Dude, he was fighting Alfonso ****in Gomez. The guy is all hype no power, **** chin, shocking hand speed just a well promoted heart. Any fighter with decent skills can beat Gomez easily.

Cotto by a hard fought and bloody split decison. I can see cotto being knocked down but then composing himself and winning a razor thin decision. Cotto needs to give Tony angles, standing right in front of tony will be the biggest present Cotto could give to Tony.

I don't think Cotto is going to KO Marg, just because of his tough chin and will, but I think he wins in a hard fought fight by UD. Cotto is much faster than Margarito and I think will be able to handle the pressure and not break down like some fighters have in the past against Marg. It's going to be a good fight, but I feel Cotto is the better athlete and a smart enough fighter to know that he can't get in a brawl him Antonio.
