I like to believe that he would sign the contract but i also believe if another attractive offer comes in he would take it instead of the Margarito fight.

He signed. As Eaner just mentioned in another thread, Steve Kim just reported this on the Maxboxing forums and confirmed the fight will be at the MGM in Vegas. He also addded this...

"they'll be in Mexico City on Monday and Los Angeles on Tuesday, then New York and San Juan after that to promote the fight"

I think Miguel Cotto will definately sign the contract.

Up until this point Cotto has not shown one thing that would lead me to believe his heart is questionable.

Potential fights get made and when the fans back it; he goes out and delievers.

Cotto has consistantly said he wants to fight the best and margarito qualifies as the best. infact, at the moment i think margarito is the toughest/best fight he can make at 147 right now with mayweather fighting oscar in september and have already beaten judah, mosley, and quintana, all that would be left (if not margarito) is a fight with paul williams.

im sure if williams beats quintana in a rematch (or in a 3rd fight which very well may happen if he wins the rematch) im sure if cotto beats margarito he'll fight him too...

Thats one thing i like about cotto though (and most have to admit it) he goes out and gives the people what they want.

You never seem to really hear arguments about money with him or anything like that...infact he gave up some cash just to make the fight with mosley happen.

im confident they'll fight in july.

I forget which fights this happened with but the actual contract wasnt signed until just days before the fight...its not that uncommon.

They've agreed to the fight/contract in principal but the specifics (money; etc.) havent been agreed on but the fight will take place.

im not too worried about it to be honest.

Let's pray this is true, this could very well be the greatest and most meaningful fight of the year for all us boxing fans. Margarito will win this fight, I'm 110% sure of this.

ESPN confirmed the story. So it's true my man. Unlike the last statement you made there.
