I think Bruno was a deserving champion its just that he had Tyson and Lewis to deal with, I think Bruno could have given Holyfield trouble with that jab of his.
However there is Rahman, Vivian Harris, F Botha, John Ruiz, Greg page, Six heads lewis, berbick to name a few yeah loads of un worthy fighters but it also shows that in this sport any challenger can be and is a threat to take that title and a champion should look back at history and keep that in mind when he is training for a fight no matter how big or small the event itself may be, any fighter can lose on any given day.

Well in all fairness Michael Moorer barely got by Holyfield by the skin of his teeth and he also got this win due to a medical condition suffered by Holyfield during that fight, I wouldnt exactly brag about this win for Moorer as the rematch showed who the better man really is, But Moorer was a great Light Heavyweight and nobody can argue that.

Zab Judah is another guy but you know what I respect Zab more than I do Floyd Mayweather because Zab does have the ****ing balls to make it a fight, I have never seen Zab run the only time Zab has had to resort to that was when he was hurt which is expected but never once have I seen Judah try to win looking pretty.

That I understand but to say he is a horrible fighter with a bet...Thats wrong IMO...I understand that he wasnt the best HW title holder but he was far from a bum as one poster stated in the thread.

I agree, Moorer was far from a lousy fighter. He did get sparked a couple times but this is the HW division where one punch can end a fight. I just saw him against Tua. Vicious KO!

              I like Moorer.

You're supposed to fight to prove you are better than you're opponent. Carlos Baldomir had 9 losses when he beat Judah. 3-5 losses is cool, but 9 losses? Now he has 11 and the biggest fights he's had, he's pretty much lost them all.
Putting on a clinc? He was only ahead by 2 points.

He also got a lot better in 2006 then he ever was to be honest. He was very determined against Judah and then beat the **** out of Gatti. He wasn't the best champion ever, but he was a good fighter (not so much nowaday though)

I cant believe that people have mentioned people like Hatton, Nelson, Tucker and Moorer. Even Bruno had ko power and a good record. Akinwande had been a top europian level fighter for years and a good points fighter who is hard to beat.

These guys were all good pros with a ton of experience

You could name someone like James Braddock but you could argue that he had a great win over a class Max Baer. They say Primo Carnera was bad but i dont know too much about him to be fair.

I look more towards the likes of Gavin Rees (who was game in defeat), who was in 8 round fights before he some how earned his shot. Im sure there is better cases than him, fighters who somehow get a lucky title shot, come out on top and then lose it at the first genuine challenge they come across.
