Barthelemy is a very good boxer but doesn't seem to have much power, he's 6-0 with no knockouts and he hasn't been moved as fast as Gamboa and Solis.

Solis could be the next big thing at heavyweight.

Danny Jacobs has been compared to a young Ray Leonard by some people, I wouldn't go that far though.

Yuriorkis Gamboa, also like Berto, although he is far to open at times i still think he has got massive potential.

Gamboa is the best of the list.

Khan and Berto are not prospects anymore they are contenders now IMO.

          Victor Ortiz is overated IMO.

I consider a boxer as a prospect as long as they haven't reached 20 fights...

Gamboa is probably the best. He obviously is incredibly talented but as another poster noted, leaves himself too open at times. The question inevitably is if he's good enough to do that against better opposition?

I have heard a lot of great things about Kahn but unfortunately I have never seen him box so I really can't comment on him.

I also think Andre Ward deserves a mention here. People have not been happy with how quickly his career has progressed but he has a great skill set and has the potential to be special.

In terms of young up and coming fighters is Linares followed closely by Gamboa.

i think Joe Greene is a great prospect a southpaw who can really punch who has good speed and seems to be a good infighter IMO aswell

Ward looks good very quick i thought he looked a bit confused early on against Ruben Williams, its only when Williams went into his shell that he really started to dominate ,i hear Ward has already been down a couple of times awell

Yuriorkis Gamboa is the best prospect in boxing.

Add Danny Jacobs to that list too

Joe Greene will blow up soon, hes making a name, and why do people keep saying Linares,HES THE WBC CHAMPION

I spent a few days talking to Gamboa last November and December in Miami, good kid - big power, but VERY short in height, I expect tall fighters to give him trouble in the future.

Andre Berto I have announced into the ring, good fighter but perhaps not a great fighter, at least not yet, still he has potential.

Saw Joe Green fight in Hollywood, FL. a few months back - I am not impressed so far, needs alot of work. Needs to work on his speed for sure, and his footwork.

There in no doubt in my mind that BOTH --- Anthony and Lamont Peterson will be World Champions --- they have all the skills, and the heart, as well as total dedication to their training and conditioning. In my opinion they are the "very near future" in their Divisions. Both of them should be in line for a "major title shot" by the end of the year.
