In the aftermath of last month's Las Vegas scrap between Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins, the public opinion was split as to which fighter pulled out the win. The fight was close, with many media members handing their selection a decision win by one or two points at best. Some had it scored a draw. Officially Calzaghe pulled out a split-decision to send Hopkins into retirement. [details]

I feel the same way, but its always hard to argue against giving the guy that MADE the fight the decision.

I thought Joe won the fight but left some significant questions. IMO Joe would have lost bad had they fought earlier maybe even by TKO. I think a 41 year old or below Hopkins would have won convincingly. I had Joe as the best fighter from the UK but after this last performance I'm almost sorry for disrespecting Lennox. Lennox had losses yes but his era had much, much stiffer competition. Lennox best fighter to come from the UK. Calzaghe is second.

I asked him a while ago he said that any new article that hit BS main page automatically posts under his name. He doesn't do it personally. Also, Mike said nothing but a generic sentence.

Joe won just b/c he threw punches, Bernards too damn old to put a half ass work rate together. Hop landed mure flush punches. Very mediocre fight at best.
