    Double Knock Down?

    Has it ever happened?

    Anyone have a video?

    It has to have happened.

For how many fights there have been since the beginning of boxing.

I'm sure there's a double knock down some where...

The ref didn't actually score Bundrage and Powell as knock downs. I would say though if the round had completed, the proper score would have been 9-8 Powell or 9-7 if he kept up the punishment.

I guess you want to give a guy who has been knocked down the eight count to recover for safety reasons, but there really isn't any other reason to even call a double knockdown. Both fighters lose a point so it has no real effect on the score, and both fighters are on the same level having been knocked down so neither has an advantage unless one punch was bigger, but it is still fair.
