I think Taylor may be better, but I'd have a hard time picking Calzaghe to lose.

      Calzaghe UD Pavlik
no Joe is 3rd p4p because he is coming off what? 44 consecutive wins? and Taylor is coming off what? 2 consecutive losses? And its only been a year since Taylor got knocked off the p4p charts

I think rumors are BRIAN VERA, which is a good bounceback fight i guess. Id have rather seen him fight Mayorga or Trinidad though

Taylor was really open to the body in the second Pavlik fight and Calzaghe throws pretty good slaps to the body. Taylor would get ****** back into the mental midget mode when trying to figure out Calzaghe's speed.

Taylor might do well for the first 3 rounds, but after that it's all Calzaghe.

Belive Calzaghe has got boxing skills, his non stop punching is brillant, and he has the heart of the lion.

Calzaghe would cake walk an easy UD against Taylor ... its a no brainer but the fight will never happen ... one that may is Pavlik v Calzaghe and thats tougher to call ... Kelly showed his heart and guts in the 1st Taylor fight after that 2nd round ... i think it would be a Calzaghe win by decision by Kelly has the potential to win that fight IMO

Those are my sentiments exactly... if they ever fought i would be pushing for Jermain Taylor - he has all the tools to beat joe, but i would not be surprised if joe won a unanimous decision... eventually joe would probably overwhelm JT in the later rounds and get a easy win from the discouraged taylor

This has got to be a bad joke.

Taylor gasses in every fight, Calzaghe would win on work rate alone, let alone superior hand speed etc.

That doesn't make him a better technical fighter. Having stamina and handspeed have nothing to do with the mechanics of the sport.

We'll work it out, but I doubt it will happen. I think Calzaghe's camp is talking Pavlik to scare Roy's camp. You know how that goes.

Taylors hands arent much slower then Calzaghes, believe that.

And work rate doesnt mean ****. Calzaghe misses 20 punches for every punch he barely lands.

Look at the HOpkins fight. He was getting completely outclasses for the first 3 or 4 rounds cause he would flail around and miss every single punch, and Hopkins would land the harder and cleaner blows.

Taylor is a better fighter then Hopkins was at that point of his career
