Calzaghe has been down 3 times as a pro.

First was Byron Mitchell, who caught him with a lucky punch while he was taking a beating. Joe got back up inside 5 and carried on beating **** out of him until the ref decided Mitchell was a gibbering wreck who shouldn't be allowed to take any more punishment.

Second was Kabary Salem. Joe's head was all wrong in this fight. He was in the middle of a large money messy divorce and he barely trained for this fight. Yet he still won, the sign of a true champion.

Third, I think we all know. Hopkins landed the PERFECT punch. He had all his weight behind it, and looking at his face, all his power too. He caught Joe flush, as hard as he can ever hit anyone, as Joe was coming forward. Joe was still up by the count of 3.

Also, Joe lost a handful of fights as an am.

Joe's chin is proven on more than one occasion, and by bigger punchers than Kelly Pavlik. What a lot of people also dont remember, Pavlik KO's people with volume punching, not one punch KO power. He wears them down and KO's them. He is not going to be able to land enough shots on Joe to wear him down enough to KO him. Whereas Pavlik has shown the tendancy to go down to one punch, even from lesser punchers than Joe. I got Joe to win this one wide, by at least 117-111 or KO. Anyone who fancies losing some points on Pavlik, PM me, we'll get the bets made now for if it comes off.

I think that's Robin Reid, the ex SMW champ that made a ****o when he was struggling for money earlier in his career

Good Post well put, looking at the the simple stat of someone being knocked over and basing your opinion on that fact is the same as reading racing form for the horses or dogs without watching the races themselves. Once you look at the knockdowns in the context of the fights and the short recovery time, they mean jack ****. Who has the best chin, the guy who gets stunned, but manages to keep himself upright by clinching / grabbing or the guy who gets knocked over, is up on the count of three and proceeds to leather the **** out of you?????????

If yall wanna dispute that then yall smokin rock. Pavlik is a tottally different monster than anyone Joe C has faced. I think Pavlik is smarter than Kessler(and better). Younger than Hopkins. A big ass mother****er. I think Joe C would be in for a long night. A real long night.
I think Kessler is a bigger arse mother****er than Pavlik. Pavlik is strong and brave with good endurance, but he isn't a Floyd in the skills department. If Calzaghe had Pavilk in the same position Taylor did, he would have finished him rather than running out of steam. I like them both and I'm sure Kelly won't duck the fight for any purse related issues so bring it on I say.

A creditable choice by Calzaghe if he makes this fight happen

GOOD -- Pavlick will win this one and wins it BIG

Pavlick by TKO --- Round 9 or 10 just as I said last month...

I like Calzaghe and have followed his career, I got him top 3 P4P right now, but at the same time he is getting older and Pavlik is primed and ready. I just think Pavlik wins by Knockout or Calzaghe wins a UD. Just my opinion, Calzaghe got a flash knock down by a fighter who almost has absolutley no offense, and I think Pavlik catches him and KO's him, just an opinion man nothing personal, I actually like Calzaghe, I just like Pavlik more!!!!

                      Calzaghe Is God

Calzaghe will win easy in my opinion... Pavlik has never faced anyone of Calzaghes Quality before, and after his fight with Lockett, Calzaghe will know what hes all about and train like a beast to get back to super-middleweight and pummel Pavlik to the ground!

                      Cant wait!

Calzaghe should fight Pavlik, then have his final fight with RJJ... in the UK!

                      LOVE IT!!!!
