Pavlik is 24, Kessler was 28, Lacy was 28 and Eubank was 31.

You can hardly accuse him of fighting "old" fighters.

I hope Joe doesn't fight Pavlik in Las Vegas. Arum's fighters' opponents often get robbed there, for example:

Pacquiao over Marquez
De La Hoya over Sturm
Mayweather over Castillo I (Floyd was with Arum then)

Calzaghe should fight Jones Jr next and then Chad Dawson, he shouldn't move back down to Super middle and just hold the titles until he is ready to retire as champion because this little game of weight is no good for any fighter. he should stay at Light Heavyweight and clean up shop, take on Jones then with a win over a young undefeated champion he can walk away a proud conqueror of 2 divisions with an undefeated record. however if Pavlik moved up to Light Heavy thats different but I'm speaking for Joe here when I say that at 36 this little game of weight classes is wrong for him. he should really just fight Jones at Light Heavyweight for his Light Heavyweight crown and by then Tarver-Dawson will have most likely taken place or will be about to and then he can close off 2008 as the light heavyweight king too.

a fight with Pavlik would be great but Joe needs to realize that even just 7 pounds of difference from Light Heavyweight to Super Middleweight isn't good and I doubt he just went up to Light Heavyweight JUST for Bernard Hopkins, I'm sure he has other plans for that division so unless Pavlik steps up to Light Heavyweight or at least a catch weight like trinidad it's not worth it for Joe, thats more work on Joe for something that isn't exactly on his agenda. Pavlik got the frame and the age to go up while Joe doesn't have much time left in Boxing.. fight Roy Joe and just leave Kelly alone, as is if Miranda beats Abraham and he will be in a great spot to face Kelly and lets not forget Felix Sturm and John duddy, either way Pavlik got his hands full too so Joe and him should just stay away from one another.

I think it is a great fight. Fighting Jones will not really cement much for Joe.

Fighting Pavlik, a rising star in boxing, would.

Joe needs this to shut everyone up and Pavlik needs this to become a star.

This fight would be awesome.
