How does Cotto Win? Against anyone.

How does Cotto win against anyone? Seriously, I mean he is short for a WW at 5'7 and has short reach. According to some he has no power and Cotto's power is a myth. Cotto is also said to not be particularly fast and cannot box. He is also said to have bad defense and gets hit by every right hand and uppercut thrown at him.

To compliment his bad defense Cotto is also said to have a weak chin and is severely hurt in every fight. He also fades and has low durability.

I'm seriously curious as to HOW THE HELL did Cotto win belts in 2 divisions and how did he win against Corley, Torres, Malignaggi, Quintana, Judah and Mosley? ****, how did he even beat Gomez?

People are gonna hate on Cotto, as well as any other figher. They can say what they want, but Cotto is a very good fighter and among the elite in the sport.

By having his gloves specially taped so they're hard as rocks and punching his opponents with all his force in the back, hips, shoulders, spine, lower back, tailbone, and backs of the knees.

It's typical of naysayers. But I think those who doubt Cotto see something in Margarito that they've wanted to see in guys like Judah, Mosley and Quintana. A kind of dangerous tornado (no pun intended) that could put the necessary pressure on Cotto that could possibly break him. (Edit: What I typed sounded like Merchant-esque, read it with Larry's voice, lol)

I can't blame them for thinking that, but I honestly can't pick a winner in this one. I'm leaning more towards Cotto but Margarito is a favorite of mine and I want to see him do what he does best (bring the pain).

Ever since you mentioned the gloves, I've been looking to see if anyone else does it. I noticed it when I was watching the Khan/Limond fight. Maybe more fighters are catching on.

L2B is a fan. He loves Cotto. He's got rosey colored lenses.

This naysayer talk is condescending and is clearly aimed at belittling the arguments of those who believe Margarito has what it takes to beat Cotto.

You haven't ever not been leaning towards Cotto so you can spare everyone the neutral sounding stuff. You have never picked against Cotto. Officially.
