What do people really think about what Mayweather did in the frist round? He never even knocked Gatti down but hit him with a few of the worst cheap shots ive ever seen. Even Mayweather fans have to admit that was one of the biggest ***** moves ever.

It was ONE "cheap shot". And, yes. Gatti did get knocked down.

The referee never said "stop punching". After the fight, AG said that he should have protected himself.

Considering the referee wasn't doing **** after he said "stop punching", Mayweather figured out that he didn't actually halt action. It wasn't the cleanest of moves, but it's not the worst cheap shot that could happen.

Then he failed to act on it. A really bad job in that round by Earl Morton.

The ref cleary stated: "Stop Punching" You know the old "obey my commands" stuff. Of course they both knew what was going on, Gatti stopped. Mayweather couldnt even knock him down with a clear free punch. Gatti didnt go down he just got knocked back into the ropes, THEN then the ref knew his mistake and tried to correct it by stopping the action.

You are right: the ref DID say "stop punching".

You are wrong: Gatti DID get knocked down.
