No I didn't... Well partially. It was only a rumour over here. When Kessler initially negaotiated with Miranda, Palle (Kesslers manager) said that he was negotiating an english opponent also, possibly in an attempt to gain leverage in the Miranda negotiations. That english opponent who backed out was most likely Froch.

To be fair the guy he fought was a 4 time late replacment i think plus those shots looked quite hard, i have comented in other threads god knwos how that guy stood up.

I think his guard is to low tho and against a world class fighter Kessler or Jc i think he would get undone, but he has power so you never know.
He is struggling to find next level oppents before world class though that may ultimately be his greatest undoing.

Frochs next opponent will be a step up. He's No1 WBC Contender, nobody will turn down the chance to fight for a vacant title. If they do, then they're obviously scared.

Also, Froch never turned down Kessler. He's actually called Kessler out, but i agree with everybody on here in saying he would get beat by a wide margin. (Froch that is)

I can see Froch beating any other SMW out there, so his next fight will be a chance to prove it.

Kessler wanting to fight Froch is just pure speculation, Froch would have jumped at a chance like that win or lose. Calling the guy a dumbass is a bit silly though. I dont understand why fans takes it so personally when another boxer calls out there favourite fighters.

The Cobra is the most avoided fighter in boxing. Calzaghe doesnt have the minerals.

Froch has got heavy hands but he carries them low, does he have the reflexes to do this against elite level fighters? We don't know, because he hasn't fought any.

Whats his chin like? He hasn't been hit by any elite level punchers so we don't know.

Has he got 'the minerals' when the going gets tough, when his big punches start bouncing off the chins and bodies of more seasoned fighters? We don't know, because he hasn't fought anyone good enough to put him under that pressure.

Is he a mouthy ****? Yes, but not he is not mentally dellusional in the way, say Mundine is; Carl has a degree Mundine is subnormal. At least he has called out Kessler, who unlike Joe, has the time on his hands to cope with the small purse this fight would generate.

Will that help him get the fights he wants? Probably not; he's thirty and he's yet to fight an elite fighter (Reid was virtually retired when they fought) so he needs to start playing the game a bit better.

I pay to see him knock the **** out of Mundine, who IMO is the biggest embarrassment to boxing currently drawing breath.
