If he fights a speedy guy then bad.

This smacks of underwhelming and ultimately futile 'comeback' to me. I think Byrd is too old to do much, but presumably HE thinks he has a chance, otherwise whay he is he doing it?

Well, he's fighting a speedy guy who can punch a bit and prepared for fighting a southpaw by sparring with Vasiliy Jirov and Antonio Tarver.

I think a lot of people are going to be shocked when this Friday.

Have you heard any odds for this fight yet Ryan?

I haven't found one online parlor that is putting up odds on this fight. I think Byrd is looking past George. Byrd is coming down from heavyweight after being in a career of big fights against a little-known fighter who is hungry and doesn't even know anything about him. Shaun George is no slouch. He's had some bad breaks in his career, the last one being Eric Harding pulling out the week of the fight this December. Nobody gives him a shot, but he's coming to fight a young man's fight against a guy on his last leg.

If the odds are tempting, I'll put a bet down on Shaun. His record is pretty good when he fights at 175.

George only fought at cruiserweight because he was ranked at that weight. This was when the division was 190 pounds, now it's 200. Guys like Haye and Maccarinelli are huge compared to George.

He hasn't fought on TV in a while, since the Richard Hall fight. That was the worst I had seen him, he usually is more active. George is a guy who needs to be motivated because he can fight down to the level of his opponent at times. Here I think he will fight up to the level of his opponent.
