Miguel Cotto vs (prime) Roberto Duran at 147, who wins???

They both like to brawl, and throw vicious body shots, but Cotto has shown he can be techincal and box at some times.

Can Miguel Cotto beat Roberto Duran at 147, the one that beat Sugar Ray leonard in their first match?????

i don't know,i think cotto is bigger than duran, leonard was just taller than he was, cotto is wider.i think duran would beat him but no landslide by any means.prime duran is lightweight by the way.

I know Roberto was at his best at 135 but the only way him & Cotto could fight was at 140-147. I'm talking about when Duran was at his best at the 147 mark when he fought Sugar ray at 147.

The Duran that beat Leonard in their first fight would have beaten Cotto.

                Without a doubt.

Duran made SRL look like an average fighter. He used feints, lead with different punches, worked a two fisted attack on the inside, and had his jab flowing beautifully.

Roberto Duran could not be outfought on the inside and Cotto at 5'7 would not have the height and reach advantage that most of Duran's opposition at WW, LMW and MW had over him.

Carlos Palomino, Pipino Cuevas, Davey Moore and Iran Barkley were all beaten by Duran.

Duran also had success boxing Hagler from the distance, he had underrated boxing ability to go along with his defensive capabilities.

The first Leonard fight was obviously his best performance.

I don't see how Cotto could win right now... Sure, he could probably beat the Duran who fought Robbie Sims and Kirkland Laing but it's prime 4 prime.
