John Duddy vs Mickey Ward

Two things:

Ward ****** for a global level.

Duddy is a middleweight and would crush Ward.

Duddy is too big, though skill wise they are about on the same level.

IMO Ward packs a bigger punch, and not to mention a chin made of bricks'

duddy probably has size, but ward would punch him out.

Duddy is 20 lbs bigger. Ward wouldn't have a chance, even though P4P he was the better fighter.

Definitely not. There is a 20 pound difference between the two. Duddy is four inches taller. He would just overwhelm Ward in a very exciting, but rather unskilled fight.

Key wins for Ward:

- Arturo Gatti (viewed by a gift by many fans)
- Emmanuel Augustus (An even bigger gift)

Howard Eastman and Yori Boy are a lot better wins then two controvesial decisions. Duddy doesn't have a good resume (more of a meh), but Ward didn't even have one...

Maybe there isn't that much difference in the quality of their wins, but Ward's win over Augustus was deserved, and Eastman and Campas were well into their 30's and considerably past their primes.

Why are we matching a junior welterweight against a middleweight?

Let's match up Kelly Pavlik versus Ricky Hatton. Or Arthur Abraham against Junior Witter.

Or how about Marvin Hagler versus Aaron Pryor? (oh wait, people have questioned why that never took place)
