i dont see the point in calzaghe fighting roy jones because people will just say he beat a past his best boxer if he does neway. if calzaghe did beat jones it would be a massive win for him because jones is still a class fighter. he is one of the best ever and he still has the skills to trouble most fighters

Calzaghe vs. Jones is a great matchup and will help Joe's legacy. There's really not much age difference between them.

It would have been a better match up many years ago when both were in their prime. Now, Calzaghe actually has a shot of winning and of course this fight doesn't come off unless it's in Joke's backyard just like any other risky fight...

And anyone who honestly believes Khan will step up to a good fighter at this point in his career is an idiot. It'll be at least 10-15 fights before Khan ever steps up the champions in the division...

I agree with your sentiment that Warren isn't too keen on putting Khan in there with Campbell yet, but 10-15 more fights? If he did that, he would be encroaching on JCC Jr. territory.

Khan is not ready for Campbell, and Warren would be wise to line up fights with guys like Julio Diaz, Edner Cherry, Rolando Reyes, or a recovered Jesus Chavez first.

Calzaghe's KO percentage has gone down since his dramatic rise in competition. He had a fairly decent KO run while he spent years feasting on tomato cans, but the last few years he has tasted only serious competition. He simply doen't have the heavy punches needed to drop elite boxers. He is however a very rare talent and is beating them all and will be remembered as an ATG.

It would be fantastic, for fans in Europe and the US. Anyone with me on this?
This I agree with entirely, im with you brudda

I also agree with this statement ... Frank Warren ... the biggest drain in boxing history ... no way will he risk Khan against a "live" opponent

This WILL happen sooner rather than later cos Khan strikes me as believing his own hype so he will tell Warren to **** off if he dont get a decent title shot soon.

This is one fight i seriously think Calzaghe could lose, and i am a Calzaghe fan. But he must fight jones to really be considered undisputed and be a legend. If he does'nt fight Roy Jones, i will never be really convinced
