Keep in mind, this is still early in the year. So, the question is raised. Is 2008 shaping up to be a better year of boxing than the AMAZING 2007 was? I'm not necessarily talking about financially, considering the fact that certain events broke records last year. However, I think this year will do just fine for itself, fiscally. But, in terms of competitive boxing, exciting match-ups and the overall sport, will this year be better? In your opinion.

It has a chance, but I doubt it.

I'd say 2008 has been better than 2007 so far! comparing Jan 2007-May 2007 to Jan 2008-May 2008!

Yeah, at this pace, it's hard to argue against 2008. However, the only worry could be that 2008, shot it's load, for lack of a funnier term.

You forgot the Andy Lee/Brian Vera fight, that was an entertaining fight and a big upset. 2007 was awesome but if the fights projected for 2008 do pan out, I think 2008 would be a much better year IMO, so far I'm liking it better but not by much than 2007.

2008 is x-plosive, not to mention the chazvez jr fights,
and the berto fights and new bees which has been good as well

if the pace that has been set so far here in 08 continues then it should be better than 07...

I dont know what it is but im not going to question it but the right fights are being made and the match making (overall) has been excellent as of late.
