Roberto Duran - Pure Madness in the ring, backed up by creativity. Marvin Hagler - He could do it all, tougher than the toughest and as slick as the slickest. Evander Holyfield - Biggest heart the sport has ever seen.
Muhammad Ali - a combination of blistering skill, brilliant showmanship and pure will. Vastly important outside of the ring too.
Roy Jones Jr - probably the most entertaining boxer to watch ever. I love how his style is exactly the opposite of what any trainer would teach, but he got away with it through outstanding athletic ability.
Nigel Benn - dude had the heart of a warrior and true class to go with it. He wasn't the most technically gifted, but he had heart, power and the never-say-die attitude.
Henry Armstrong - First man and only man to win and hold the featherweight, lightweight and welterweight titles simultaneously. He also made a very spirited effort and almost won the middleweight title too!!! but he gassed out. Jack Johnson - First African American Heavyweight Champion. Defended it numerous times. He was ahead of his time as far as boxing skills go. He was the best of his era. And he is the blueprint of muhammed ali (Ali admitted that). Emile Griffith - First Champion from St. Thomas, U.S. ****** Islands. 3 division undisputed Champion at Welterweight (3x champ), Middleweight (2x champ) and Superwelter weight (first ever superwelter weight champ). He whooped **** Tiger a couple of times too!
At 1 Tyson by a landslide!
Then id say Joe Louis.
3? Thats alot tougher! G man? Pryor? Jones? Benn? so many! I'll go wit my man Felix Tito Trinidad tho!
1. Jersey Joe Walcott: For his poetry inside the ring and masterful boxing. People may not know it or not but Hopkins, Jones Dawson and a few other fighters does some Walcott like slick things. Where they move like they are turning away from their opponent and suprise them by coming back and catching them with hard counter punches.
2. Henry Armstrong: For his intensity and determination. Great underrated fighter that will hopefully get the respect that he deserves one day. Capured 3 titles in 3 different divisions on matter of weeks.
3. Muhammed Ali: Great legend that had the best foot work that i have ever seen and still the fastest heavyweight of all time. He ruled the division when it was at its best.
