Juan Manuel Marquez Eyes Lightweight Division

Juan Manuel Marquez is planning to make his move to lightweight division, following his rival Manny Pacquiao, who makes his debut at 135-pounds against WBC champion David Diaz on June 28 in Las Vegas. Marquez's manager/trainer Ignacio Beristain told Notimex that his fighter is going to make a move to lightweight in order to force a third fight with Pacquiao. [details]

      crying baby

marquez is such a very POOR GUY... in their 1st fight with Manny, he lost the fight as commended by one of the three judges who had mistakenly added his scores but Pac didn`t sour grip as judges decision is final and had to be honored and well respected....that`s a real SPORTSMAN. the 2nd fight again the judge decision is now clear in favor of PACMAN yet this tiny little BITCHY JOAN MANUELA MARQUEZA still cries alot in his corner. aren`t you done or are you really a SPORTSMAN or a SPORTSWOMAN???

My thoughts exactly. Except more along the lines, who will get him his biggest paycheck and won't be so bad if he loses to? Anyone else Marquez faces will give him a lower paycheck and look bad should he lose. Not to mention 130lbs has some good competition that I don't think he wants to face. So instead, go chasing the only guy that will give him a nice paycheck and win or lose, it won't look so bad and he can keep telling himself he won the fight. Does he really want to lose another close 3rd fight? ****, 3 losses to same guy, I think that tells you either, stop getting dropped on ur ass, or give up already with him!

What I find interesting is that a lot of Pacmans fans, are people who don't really like Mayweather. They want Cotto to call him out and force the fight. Yet, when Marquez does the same thing (the only difference being after two CLOSE ass fights) Marquez is a whiner and a sore loser. Lol. That's interesting to me, that's all.

If people want Marquez to back off of Pacquiao, then maybe Manny should THOROUGHLY beat him, as opposed to hold on to a draw or win a fight that MANY thought he lost.

And for the record, even IF the first fight should have been a victory for Manny, that's not something to be THRILLED about. He had a three point advantage from the first round on, and could barely win by a point, and this is what his nuthuggers CLING to? C'mon, I like Manny Pacquiao, A LOT. Not to the point that I defend him turning down the more interesting fight. If he beats Diaz, and Marquez beats Campbell, they SHOULD fight again, and it'd be JUST as hard to call.

Marquez deserves that third fight. It was a damn good fight, let him fight Nate in June and then the bout can happen.

It'll be interesting to see how well his body carries the extra 5 pounds.
