BoxingScene Television Picks of the Week

By Cliff Rold - Seven televised cards in one week? Seriously?

It’s not that often where Boxing has a week that borders on sensory overload but this might qualify. Two shows on ESPN2, two Spanish language shows, some B.A.D and two pay shows on Saturday add up to a pro-choice week for the sweet science. They’re not all must-see shows, but almost all have at least one point of strong curiosity. [details]

The interesting thing about Gamboa's situation is that he's 26 years old. Pacing his career properly should be a unique challenge. It looks like he's scheduled for another fight on 6/26 just under 6 weeks from saturday.

Great week ahead; thank God for sopcast eh. I am especially looking forward to Mijares and hoping he can find another performance like the one he pulled out against Arce, which to this day is still one of the best performances I have ever seen. The word I would se to describe Mijares is fluid and in that performance he was one step of Arce and didn't put a foot wrong all night. Munoz will be another tough challange though and someone who has great power. I see Mijares outboxing him to a UD though in what should be an exciting match.

Of course I am looking foward to Gamboa, but who isn't. He has got a tough fight ahead of him though and if he comes through it comfortably it will be mighty impressive. Bring on the fights I say.
