    Paulie Malignaggi v. Steve Forbes

After rewatching the Oscar v. Forbes tune-up fight again I came to the conclusion that Paulie v. Forbes might be a REALLY good fight (not in terms or brawling; toe to toe; knockout action) but a really good fight none the less.

I think they would be pretty evenly matched.

    Neither has spectacular power
Both have good chins (forbes is better but paulie took some tough cotto shots)
    Both can box really well...

would you like to see this fight? (whether it happen before or after malignaggi v. hatton)...

It sounds like a good idea, but I don't think it should happen. I think Malignaggi would win with his speed, and jabs, but I like both fighters. The styles just don't make a good fight, at best it would be a tactical fight with mostly jabs. Malignaggi-Hatton is a much better fight. Forbes should fight Bradley.

to be honest i think malignaggi v. hatton will be an ugly fight...

i expect a ton of clinches and most of the fight to be; paulie sticking and moving and hatton pursuing...

when hatton gets close; they clinch...

that wont be an exciting fight to me...i want to see it because its a big fight in my opinion and im kind of surprised HBO or SHO didnt pick the fight up...versus got lucky in my opinion.

It would be a more exciting fight because of the styles....Hatton would literally run after Paulie. Steve Forbes is much more cautious and defensive. And what do you mean HBO didnt pick up the fight? I thought they were just on Versus for the preliminary fights? (Malignaggi-Ndou, Hatton-Lazcano)

                    thats what i meant...

paulie v. ndou and hatton v. lazcano are on versus and its surprising since they never get any real decent prime fighters...

they get the tye fields fights and the tsurkan fights...

but never fighters with the status of hatton (who just came off a big hbo PPV fight...) or paulie (who has consistantly been on SHO and HBO for awhile...

even though they seem to be nothing more than tune-up fights i thought at least SHO would bite at the oppertunity...or even HBO...

Other than the knockout i expect hatton v. paulie to be very similar to hatton v. mayweather...

only major differences i think are:

                    its closer
hatton doesnt get knocked down or out or stopped period.
hatton will have a bit better of a connect percentage...

i think paulie wins 8 rounds to 4 rounds (116-112).
