he defended against Eubank twice & he was virtually out on his feet against Sebastian Rothman & came back to stop him he was out on his feet more than once against Eubank and still went onto win the fight ,he was up and down against Johnny Nelson and that fight was stopped controversially

that the point Thompson has never been a bum & he is a fighter that has always had the capacity to rally back from situations where he is up against it when he looks for all the world he is gonna get stopped he comes through it and comes back even stronger

Paul Williams got made to look ordinary and all he did against Margarito was stand and throw continuously ,he tried that with Quitanan and got thourougly outboxed like the jack ass he is ,Clottey was owning Margarito ass aswell

the Haye V Wlad fight is irrelevant fact is Williams is no better than Thompson infact he is inferior IMO ,Thompson beat Eubank Twice but regardless of that the point is Williams is not better than Carl Thompson on par at best & the betting odds were obviously wrong cause Williams was massively overated

im willing to conceed that Margarito has a bad night against Williams & im also inclined to feel the same way about Haye the TKO was more about bad conditioning anyway IMO and his stamina is fine now that fight was a long time agonow .he has obvioiusly improved his stamina and his SKillset with more experience etc ,same as Margarito will have learned from his loss & come back stronger

The Thompson fight was Haye's 11th fight.

It's as valid to judge Haye based on that loss as it is to judge Margarito based on his three early losses during his first 15 fights.

We should wait and see how Haye looks like at HW...
