Time to honor the under appreciated welterweight king of yesteryear!
Jose Napoles!

Jose Angel Napoles turned pro in 1958, & finally won the world welterweight title in 1969 against Curtis Cokes.
Naploes was Cuban, & his career was held up a bit by the revolution, having to take his bags on the road if he wanted to keep his career.
Think he might of been fighting overseas at the time, & still had family in Cuba.
He was already starting on the downside of his career when he won the title according to most experts, but was still held onto the title until 1975 against some pretty damn good challengers (although losing it briefly to cuts in 1970, he quickly regained it)
He lost against Monzon when he tried to move up.
