According to the Montreal Papers (and so far they haven't been wrong about Dawson) Dawson didn't like the offer Showtime was giving giving him to fight Tarver, so now Dawson has decided to participate in the June 3 purse bid. So it looks like Dawson will fight against Diaconu first, than a rematch with Johnson, and a fight with Tarver probably in May next year.

I had it a draw so it should be a great fight, I think it will be close again Dawson will ever win a close UD or Johnson will KO him. Hopefully the winner will fight Tarver.

That's good to hear, I am a fan of Diaconu and I think he has the style and power to upset Dawson and knock him out.

          good

I think this sets up the perfect schedule for Chad Dawson for the rest of the year. He can fight the undeafeted Adrain Diacanu in june the have a remtach with Glen Johnson around September and then Fight Tarver in december or early next year. After not looking his best against Johnson in his last fight i wouldn't rush him right in with tarver or the Johnson rematch. Let him fight the other young gun in the division and get his confidence back then go after those guys. You never know if he can rip off those three wins he may even get a fight with the real champ Joe Calzahe.

Too bad Chad won't haqve anything to do with Glen, he'll duck him like a bad habit. Until Johnson turns 50, then he'll take the fight. Dawson has no balls, he's a ***** in man's clothing.

Truth be told Johnson should only have about 6 losses on his record, the rest are a bunch of bull**** hometown decisions against lesser opposition. Even Showtime acknowledged that.

Chad can't rematch Johnson right away because Adrian Diaconu is the WBC interim champion. If Chad were to rematch Johnson right away, his WBC belt would be stripped and the rematch would be POINTLESS. And as badly as Johnson wants a rematch, he's not going to fight Chad again unless he's holding the WBC belt, instead he will look for more lucrative matches such as Diaconu. Diaconu and Tarver are just as dangerous as Johnson, (if not more dangerous) so I doubt Dawson is ducking anybody.

Johnson will get his chance at the belt, he's rated #3 by the WBC and is aligned to fight Silvio Branco (rated #2 by the WBC) to become the mandatory for the WBC Belt. I know some of you guys are asking for an immediate rematch, but tell Jameel McCline that when he was clearly robbed against Samuel Peter, the WBC didn't do a damn thing about it.
