James Douglas strikes me as an odd lineal champ.

Joel Casamayor's inactivity/bad decision over Santa Cruz while Juan Diaz/Nate Campbell tore it up seems to be an odd linear champ too. No one really considered him the man in the division.

Floyd Mayweather is kind of strange too. He is the linear welterweight champion, but his last two fights (and his proposed next two) will be against guys who are not primarily welterweights at this point in their career. As in, their Ring ranking is not in the welterweight division, it is in the 154 and 140 division.
